Contáveis e incontáveis: some, any, much, many
Countable and uncountable nouns

Substantivos contáveis podem ser contados (one invoice, two invoices). Incontáveis não têm plural nem a/an (money, information, feedback). Essa diferença decide se você usa many ou much, a ou some.
Regras

- Contável: tem singular e plural, aceita a/an e número. a client, three clients.
- Incontável: não tem plural nem a/an. information, advice, feedback, money, work, software, equipment. O verbo fica no singular: The information is correct.
- Várias palavras incontáveis em inglês são contáveis em português: informações, conselhos, softwares. Em inglês: information, advice, software, sem -s.
- Para contar algo incontável, use uma unidade: a piece of advice, two pieces of information.
- Some = algum, alguns, um pouco de: em frases afirmativas e em ofertas e pedidos. I need some information. Do you need some help?
- Any = algum, nenhum: em perguntas e negativas. Do you have any questions? We don't have any information.
- Some, any e no também formam palavras para pessoas e coisas: someone (alguém), something (algo); em perguntas e negativas, anyone (alguém / ninguém) e anything (algo / nada); no one ou nobody (ninguém) e nothing (nada). Can someone help me? I don't need anything.
- Many com contáveis no plural; much com incontáveis. Na afirmativa, os americanos preferem a lot of para os dois: a lot of clients, a lot of work.
- Pergunta de quantidade: How many + plural (How many invoices?) / How much + incontável (How much money?). How much is it? = Quanto custa?
