Respostas curtas e question tags
Short answers and question tags
Status:
Regras
- Resposta curta = Yes/No + pronome + auxiliar da pergunta: Are you...? Yes, I am. Did she...? No, she didn’t. Have they...? Yes, they have. Can it...? No, it can’t.
- Na resposta curta afirmativa não há contração: Yes, I am (nunca Yes, I’m). Na negativa, a contração é o normal: No, I’m not. No, it isn’t.
- Question tag: frase afirmativa + tag negativa; frase negativa + tag afirmativa. It’s ready, isn’t it? It isn’t ready, is it?
- A tag repete o auxiliar da frase com um pronome: You work with Pedro, don’t you? She sent it, didn’t she? They’ve paid, haven’t they? You can help, can’t you?
- Se a frase não tem auxiliar (presente ou passado simples afirmativo), a tag usa do/does/did.
- Exceção: I am vira aren’t I? na tag: I’m on the list, aren’t I?
You sent the file, right? The client is in Mexico, right?
